Matías Galarza scored for Paraguay in just the second minute of the game against Turkiye on Friday (June 19, 2026) in its Group D FIFA World Cup match at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium in the USA.
Paraguay midfielder Miguel Almiron was given a straight red card for covering his mouth in a confrontation with Turkiye’s Mert Muldur in the first instance of the new rule being applied at the World Cup.
