Hector Daniel Cabrera, the venue manager of Argentina Football Association, paid a visit to the Jawaharlal Nehru international stadium in Kochi on Tuesday, inspected the facilities and assessed the security at the venue that will host Argentina during its visit to Kerala in November this year.
He was accompanied by Kerala Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman and officials from Reporter Broadcasting Company (RBC) which is sponsoring the Argentina team’s visit to Kerala. Hector, later held talks with the sports minister and officials of RBC.
The opponent for the friendly match against Argentina has not been finalised. The RBC has had preliminary discussions with a few countries and among them, Australia has showed interest to play against Argentina in Kerala. A final decision regarding this will be made soon.
