England and Ghana both edged closer to a place in the last 32 of the World Cup after a 0-0 draw in Foxborough on Tuesday (June 23, 2026).
Thomas Tuchel’s side top Group L with four points, above Ghana on goal difference, going into their final game against Panama, where a win would likely secure first place and a last-32 tie in Atlanta on July 1.
England, who failed to build on their 4-2 opening win over Croatia, managed their first shot on goal just before the hour mark and hit the bar in the 86th minute through Nico O’Reilly’s header before captain Harry Kane sent the rebound over the bar.
